Manet Community Health Center

Manet Community Health Center, Inc. (Manet) is a 501(c) (3) not-for-profit Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) dedicated to providing preventive, primary and behavioral health care to all, regardless of financial circumstance or health insurance coverage status. Manet has been serving the community since 1979 and has five primary care practice sites, serving the communities of southeastern Massachusetts -- three in Quincy, one in Hull and one in Taunton. 

Manet is accredited by The Joint Commission and is in full federal compliance, having met 93 out of 93 elements of program compliance in December 2019.  Each Manet practice site is recognized as a Level 3 Patient Centered Medical Home by the National Committee for Quality Assurance (2014 Standards) and they are PCMH Prime certified, recognizing Manet’s achievement in integrating behavioral health. Manet Community Health Center has a primary hospital affiliation with Boston Medical Center Health System and is a contracting partner in the Boston Accountable Care (BACO)/BMC Health Net Plan Community Alliance, Medicaid Accountable Care Organization.

Manet’s delivers compassionate, culturally, linguistically sensitive care to more than 17,000 patients of all ages in over 62,000 unduplicated annual visits. The health center offers a full array of services and programs for infants, children, adolescents, adults, and seniors, including acute and preventive care, medical nutrition therapy, chronic disease management, infectious disease care, access to specialists, diagnostic laboratory, screenings, HIV and STI prevention and risk assessment, case management, OB/GYN care, LGBTQ care, opioid  overdose prevention/Naloxone training and distribution, evidence-based wellness programs, health insurance navigation and enrollment assistance, substance use risk counseling and emergency department diversion, on-site behavioral health services, medication assisted treatment for substance use disorders, telemedicine services, and on-site pharmacy and vision care.

In 1979, Manet opened its first practice site in the Houghs Neck neighborhood of Quincy, MA. Four years later, in 1983, Manet opened its second practice site within the Quincy Housing Authority’s public housing complex at Snug Harbor in the Germantown neighborhood of Quincy. In 1989, Manet began offering primary care services at a third site in Hull, MA. In 1993, Manet opened a site in North Quincy, now its largest site and administrative headquarters. In 2014, Manet opened its newest site in Taunton, which is rapidly growing to meet the needs of underserved residents. Both Manet’s Houghs Neck and Snug Harbor practice sites are located in a Medically Underserved Area (#01523), and Taunton, is within the Bristol County, Medically Underserved Area (#01532).
